Weekend off as Virginia Beach Forfeits
Blacksburg improved their Fall 2008 record to 2-1, but not in the preferred fashion, as Virginia Beach opted not to travel to Blacksburg for their Virginia Rugby Union Senior Men's Division III competition match scheduled for 11 October. Blacksburg will be credited with a win in the competition standings, but the side was frustrated to be denied valuable match experience a performance in front of home fans.
Blacksburg apologizes to all players and fans inconvenienced by the forfeited match, and hopes a strong group of players and supporters is on hand 18 October for a home showdown against James River.
