Blacksburg RFC Training and Match Locations:

Blacksburg Rugby training sessions and matches are typically held at Blacksburg's home match ground on Country Club Drive SW near South Main Street in Blacksburg, Virginia (behind the large Kroger Supermarket on South Main Street).

To reach the match ground from the general area:

  • From Interstate 81, take Exit 118B to US-460 W toward Blacksburg.
  • After driving 5-6 miles on US-460 W, take EXIT 5AB to US-460-BR W/US-460-BR E exit, EXIT 5AB, toward Blacksburg/Smart Rd.
  • From EXIT 5AB, take choose the US-460-BR/South Main ramp and bear right onto South Main Street.
  • After driving about 1.5 miles, turn left on Country Club Drive SW (between the Kroger Supermarket lot and the GameStop).
  • The match ground will be on your left off of Country Club Drive SW after the Kroger Supermarket, about 300 meters from the intersection with South Main Street. There are some parking spaces behind the supermarket, and a gravel road next to the match ground leads to additional parking space on the grass. Please do not drive on the playing area.

Alternate Locations:

During the offseason and in cases of inclement weather, some training sessions are held at the Drillfield on the Virginia Tech campus or at other locations. Any alternate training locations will be indicated in the current training schedule information.
